The ARU media release makes no reference to the 'win' in arbitration only to financials blah blah blah which was always going to be challenged.... This still has a long way to go and RWA still has Molotov cocktail in hand to burn the ARU's house of straw down....
Be angry but don't despair just yet....
Non sunt multiplicanda entia sine necessitate
Hansie is there any hope to cling to? My four year old just handed me her pink teddy bear to stop my tears..
Cant bring myself to support the wallabies anymore. Stuff the ARU.
Is the arbitration decision documented anywhere? I'm interested in knowing who, what and why.
Like anything to do with legal / court case matters, media wait for the landscape to full develop. We all know there isn't anything that adds up, and then there's the stuff internally that is very damaging (as Nedlands posted on the site today), from a media perspective it would be all in now - eg: bigger story due to today's outcome
As devastating as this is we must keep fighting while there is still a small chance. Please continue to pursue any legal option open to you RugbyWA, it is just too important a thing to quit while there is still some small chance we might keep the Force. I know it is inevitable we will bleed players to other clubs but we absolutely should not give up yet - please keep going as hard as you can
Hopefully we have a news conference or something/someone on the news tonight?
I want to see all the dirt on the ARU finally coming out into the open on all public media so all of Australia can see exactly how corrupt these arseholes are!
devastating!.. short term are the players free to go as our license no longer exists, is this correct ? Can DHP and RHP exercise their options and go to the Rebels?.... I seriously hope that Force and twiggy were ready for this decision this afternoon because time is fast running out, i guess 2018 fixtures will be out September/October?... over to you Twiggy!...

The ARU has informed RugbyWA today that it intends to remove the Western Force from the Super Rugby Competition in 2018.
RugbyWA remains committed to pursuing every possible means to ensure the Western Force remains a Super Rugby team in Perth.
RugbyWA is considering all options including bringing urgent proceedings in the Supreme Court of NSW, and legal action relating to the circumstances which led it to enter into the Alliance Agreement with the ARU.
Whilst the board of RugbyWA is extremely disappointed with the ARU’s stated position, with the support of the Rugby community and numerous WA business identities including Mr Andrew Forrest AO we will continue the fight to retain the Force in Western Australia.
Pesky factors like openness, fairness and due process?“We are regretful that this issue has consumed so much of the public commentary on the game in 2017. It was clearly not our intention for this to play out over such a lengthy period however there have been factors outside the ARU’s control that have prevented us from completing the process.
Except the team you want to cut has actually improved both on and off the field. An inconvenient truth.“As we have reinforced throughout this process, there are commercial realities which are linked to declining on-field performance across our Super Rugby teams which has put Australian Rugby in a position where it can no longer sustain five teams.
And the team you chose not to cut has been the cause of the majority of the unbudgeted support. Another inconvenient truth.“Furthermore, the significant unbudgeted support funding that has been provided to Super Rugby teams over the past five years has greatly affected our capacity to invest in community Rugby.
At very least that press release was disingenuous.
Well this spread quickly worldwide:
