It's great rugby fans have a choice of broadcaster after being starved of rugby for so long. 882 6PR's Super 14 coverage continues from 7pm this Friday with a complete preview, including your thoughts on the game on our sports openline. Just call 922 11 882 to take part in our talk back segment.
We're hoping to get Eddie Jones on during our preview to discuss the Reds result and lack of depth in Australian rugby.
Tune in on the way to the game, take a radio for during the game and listen again for the post match wrap up. So join me, Mick Colliss, former Wallaby Mitch Hardy and our sideline eye Adrian Barich from 7pm.
I never usually contribute to threads posted by other stations as it might seem unethical, but I just wanted to thank Mick, Barra and 6PR for showing that two stations covering the same events do not have to be at loggerheads.
I agree with Mick it is terrific that fans get a choice of coverage.
I am sure neither of us will ever breach the mutual respect. Have a good one.

It's from my days as an amatuer Barra. It's for the love of the game!Originally Posted by barra
As i said in another post, the coverage on 6pr with John Gibbs and Bray last weekend was very good and a top broadcast.
It was good to hear a professional coverage coming from your eastern states station.
Awww....group hug everyone?!
Seriously, well done guys....I don't take a radio to the game (I sit near TEF = instant commentary!!) but may call you with some wise words from the Jedi (but you won't get any tales from the Sydney tour though!!!).
Keep up the good work.
CHEERLEADERS ROCK!!!
I remember talking to Mick on the bus back fom Aussie Stadium, last Friday night after the game, whilst still tidy!![]()

Yes, thanks for that. Sorry we had to keep it short. The world stops for the news bulletins on radio!Originally Posted by The Lone Hydrangea

Mick don't drop your trousers as I think 90.5 want to kiss your arse!
Agree great that all stations get on, can you reveal if there was any animosity in the past as David implies as I thought you media types all got on
Hey Pockets, I'm sure there is some animosity somewhere along the lines, but I've been pretty fortunate and haven't been screwed over too often. I like the guys on 90.5 and I've done stuff with Leon before and I'm a big supporter of his efforts to try and increase the media exposure of rugby, especially before the Force came on board. None of us are employed fulltime doing rugby on radio (i don't think) so we're all pretty much in the same boat - fans happy to play a role in spreading the word. Cheers.Originally Posted by Pockets
Nice work Mick. The more Rugby coverage the better, for all of us.

Hey Mick......what night would be a good night to call in with drumming up interest in the people who are going to Canberra as per the following thread?

Generally Barra talks rugby on Sports Central Wednesday nights. Otherwise, we'll take talk back as part of our preview this Friday. Call in and give it a plug!Originally Posted by travelling_gerry
