Where did it go?? Haven't read a Cam's Column in a while & they usually come out on Tuesdays.
In the absence of Cam's Column I wrote this....
This week we go into the match well rested. After having four days off from training & visit to the folks (for some of the boys) we are ready and raring to go.
On Saturday some of the boys went back to their grassroots and played for their local clubs. Dane-o, Rabbit & AJ played for a winning Cottesloe team, narrowly beating "Shave" Dave Pusey with Wests-Subiaco. Hodgo, Chicken, Sitaleki Chriso played for Wanneroo with a winning margin of 44 over Keiran Longbottom & the Rockingham team. Holmesy & Jon McGrath played Nedlandswho went down to Scott Daruda and his Associates. Cummo, Chucky & Wykesy all fronted for a strong University side who beat Palmyra by a phenominal 72 points. Scott Fardy and the boys at Perth-Bayswater went down to Drew-boy & Josh Tatupu at Kalamunda. Seemslike they all had a great time playing for their local sides.
For Coach Mitchell this week's game will be a real competition between where he has come from and where he is going, with us playing his former side the Chiefs. We are tipped as the underdogs this week but are looking forward to scoring some tries and hopefully coming awa y with a bonus-point win!
Obviously I'm not Cam Shepherd so I dont know all the boys' nicknames, but I hope this will do and I hope they come away with the win!!
i dont think shep could have dont it better
No column Wednesday time to start writing letters - they are so annoying as they post it on different days as well not Tuesday as promised.

doing things on time or when they say would be common sense.
your not accusing them of having that are you?

Im not having a go at him, there just hasn't been one in a while, I missed it so I wrote my own for him.
don't you think that if he was a busy guy, he wouldn't have joined the perthnow team in the first place?

Cameron Shepherd looks back on first 'Super'
Western Force fullback Cameron Shepherd
April 29, 2008 12:00pm
WESTERN Force fullback Cameron Shepherd plays his 50th game of 'Super' on Saturday, against the Chiefs at Subiaco Oval. Here he looks back at his first game.
I can still remember my first appearance, coming off the bench for the Waratahs against the Crusaders in 2004.
It was the first time New South Wales had been back to the stadium since being beaten 96-19 in 2002.
I was 19 and pretty nervous heading into the game, wondering what we would be up against, especially after our side's beating on the last visit.
I went onto the wing in the last eight minutes, got a couple of nice touches, and we scored two more tries to win 43-19.
It was an unbelievable day - and the only time I've been in a winning side against them!
I went on to play all the games in 2004 and when Matt Rogers was injured in the third match I moved to fullback for the first time.
I missed a few games in 2005 when Peter Hewat was playing well and then of course I headed west.
We may not be able to make it into the finals now, but we still have a lot to play for and it will start on Saturday.
We've lost games we shouldn't have, but it would be good to win the next three and at least finish the season well.
The Chiefs are a vastly improved side with so many great players and they are finally starting to get some rhythm in their side.
But if there is a side with motivation to win a game it is us. We've got something to prove.
We had a big Monday training session getting back to basics and rebuilding our aggressive defensive structure.
On a personal note, I got back to a bit of form against the Reds even though I was disappointed with the result.
It's always good to have family member in the crowd at Subiaco and my brother, Patrick, is flying over for Saturday's game.
He's four years older than me and as a kid I was always chasing him round the backyard.
I like to think that trying to be as big and as strong as him as youngster helped my progression.
I hope I can repay him a bit on Saturday.
cool, didnt know it was his 50th.
congrats shep!
I think you should apologise to Sheps laura for jumping to conclusions.
And I was totally right about his structure.![]()
hmmm
hope we can celebrate sheps 50th with a win!
Can't believe it's 50 already - always think of him as a Force Boy
Good on you Cam
