Angry Brumbies coach Tony Rea has unleashed an extraordinary attack on Brumbies players and the club's culture after their loss to the Lions on Saturday night.
Whole article here
Amazing to watch the press conference. Should be a big week in Brumbieland this week. Only problem is they might think they have a point to prove in their next match...
The committee might sack another coach
nah i think thats the whole point of his rant.. the committee no longer gives a shit.
giteau and moore seemed the only ones interested for the ponies.......
gee that was crap game on the Brumbies part.... they are more predictable than the force... next week will be a greay game
They looked pretty good for the first 30 minutes. Then I lost interest and was shocked to see the end result(much like the crusaders game).
I think the Brumbies will come out hard against the force.....we always seem to cop a team on the aftermath of a humiliating loss and play us fully motivated. Danger game for the Force IMO.
I thought that at first but then I wondered. We have a lot to prove too and we will be fresh from a week off.
The Brumbies have just lost Salesi Ma'afu, Huia Edmonds, Ita Vaea and Pat McCabe for the Force game and possibly others with niggling injuries. That means they will be scraping the barrel again for reserve front rowers and won't have much sting from the bench.
At home, I would rate us as even stevens in the front row (maybe a slight advantage to the Brumbies) but well and truly ahead in terms of our second and back rows. The halves and centres are pretty even. Giteau is streets ahead of Ripia but neither or the Brumbies 9s have been any better than woeful while Sheehan has been solid at worst. O'Connor and hopefully Dellit are equal to Ashley Cooper and whoever the Brumbies play at 12 (and lets face it, that could be anyone). If AAC stays on the wing we have a bit of an advantage there IMO. Shepherd, Cummins and Smith are equal or better than whatever the Brumbies can throw at us- especially if McCabe is out.
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.
EVERY GAME IS A BLOODY DANGER GAME FOR US!
Too true. Sad.

Personally I think Rea's verbal attack on his team was extremely poor... and doesn’t reflect the class of a highly regarded coach. Clearly he is not. He just sounded like a man who gave up on his team and his replacement is getting off the plane today.
I don’t have a problem with him saying he was disappointed however his statements went too far... And weren't that of a respectful coach... If I was a player under his rule I would openly tell him so in front of the team... He chose not to start with Chiz, the team suffered injuries during the match to Kimlin, Maafu and Edmonds. 2 of which will be out for the rest of the season.
The Lions forwards played well with few mistakes and won. I have to say Rea was easily out coached by Mitchell... Rea should hang his head in shame... His rant was not one of challange but one from an angry man without answers. Bring on Jake White this guy is a joker...
