Kanaar out, attention now to Wallace-Harrison

    From Fox Article:

WALLABIES second-rower Al Kanaar has withdrawn his interest in Western Force and will re-sign with the Waratahs.

Kanaar expressed an interest in the Force, even though the Waratahs believed they had a closed a deal with him.

The Waratahs lodged a complaint to the ARU about the Force speaking to Kanaar and a tribunal is investigating whether the expansion team broke recruitment rules.

As a result of all of the fuss, Kanaar instructed his manager to inform the Force he had withdrawn his interest in the team.

The Force will now seek to open negotiations with Brumbies Perth-born back-five forward Adam Wallace-Harrison.

I think this is a good thing for the Force and I would prefer to bring Wallace-Harrison "home" anyway.
He has been on fire for the Brumbies in recent weeks and would be a fantastic locally born and bred addition to our squad.
Looks like the bully boys at the Tahs have had a minor success though.

    Wallace-Harrison, Adam Lock/Flanker 24/09/79 200cm 115kg

Adam Wally Harry would be a good back-up for Fava whose shown signs of wear and tear this year, especially with his Cwealth games injury. Adam 26, experienced, Perth born - brilliant for Force should John Welborn retire sometime soon at 35yrs!

I think that Wallace-Harrison would be an automatic start at #4 with Sharpe being an identical 200cm and 115kg.
While having the mobility of a #6/#8, he is better suited to the Locks in the long term, especially considering the depth we have there with Pusey, Doherty etc.
Fingers crossed we are able to get him as this would be nearly as big/exciting for the forwards as Gits is for the backs.

Good point Burgs about Adam WH at no.4.
O'Connor has played well off bench, but the Crusader game showed that he's probably a year off holding down that position for the duration of a whole game. So Adam starting there would help O'Connor's progression . Also, Force has been fortunate that Sharpie has kept fit and uninjured at #5 - because who else are the second row replacements in the squad ? Can Pusey and Doherty do that too?

To build the WA connection, Force needs to fill the gap left by Welborn when he exits playing. Adam WH -perfect- should be a PRIORITY signing !
