The first real test for us against what looks like a fairly decent attacking team with the Chiefs having a crack at the Force. The Chiefs look good, make no mistake. The high scoring try fest of last weekend was a sample of the attacking prowess possessed by the Mooloomen. Those of you that have played Rugby will know that although the Chiefs conceded alot of points, the missed tackles and drifting defence can easily be tightened up in one week. Their forwards will be very switched on for this game and the backline will be very keen to give us a good old fashioned touch up. The new combo's will have them chomping at the bit. Nothing like seeing weakness and smashing it. And that's what their game plan will revolve around, hammering JOC and starving our rejigged backline.
Unless, JOC shines....
The Chiefs will..........
Pressure JOC like he has never seen pressure before, possibly even conceding a yellow card or two. The tackles will be late and high. They will be trying to creating a corridor through the centres. If JOC breaks, they will get that corridor in spades.
The Force will..........
Have forward protection linebacker style all over JOC. Which is great, but can we also commit numbers to the breakdown? If we can't, refer to that channel being opened up in the centres...
I think....
We will get dusted, well and truly. I think the experience for JOC is invaluable and I hope and pray he really shines. But perhaps it is too much too soon for him?
Hasta la vista Pam
so BB who will you be supporting this week?

Their pack will be dominated in every facet of the game by a tight five which whipped them last time we played in Perth and has improved in application and personnel. The battle of the breakdown will fizzle, with neither backrow being particularly effective in stealing opposition ball, however the ability to deliver quick, clean ball to our side as opposed to disrupting the Mooloo ball will see us come out on top! THe addition of some genuine class to our backline would not be enough on it's own, but added to the fact that our tight five was always going to dominate will translate to our first win in 2010!

Bronski, seeing as Gunty predicted a scoreline (Force 22-18) he *has* said what he thinks will happen.
I'm nervous about JO'C at 10, but less nervous than I would be about having Harris there again. JO'C's had a season of people trying to take lumps out of him and stood up. He'll be OK.
However, I wonder how often we'll see JO'C and Bart switch positions. Inman and Spanners can switch around, too. Can confuse defenses - as long as we don't confuse ourselves!
I think it'll be close - one team will get the bonus point for keeping it tight. Which, considering the Chiefs have 9 points from 2 games and we have none, is quite an achievement.
I'm standing by the prediction I made on Whirlpool;
Force 50,000 3 Chiefs
The 9 hour flight is what will take it out of the chiefs, they'll let it in lots of tries.
I might second Gunny on this one. Force by 4.

Well yea Force to win 32-28
Well someone has to be realistic........Chiefs 28 - 18
49-37
4 try bonus points. Tries everywhere. I'd like to think no soft ones, but really I'm preparing myself. But I don't think the Chiefs would be able to sort it all out by this weekend. And, in fairness, the Force haven't been too flashy with their defense. However, the re-designed backline could prove me wrong. Both are going to look fabulous in attack. I couldn't probably be more excited about this game. Double-try haul to Spanner! C'mon the Force!
A kick in this game is like a rather nasty alcoholic shooter, only as good as it's chaser...
