Force 32-21
"Bloody oath we did!"
Nathan Sharpe, Legend.
So let me get this straight. All but one of you are predicting a Force win? One of you even suggested a 50000 point scoreline.
I am not being critical of the Force, they have had a super hard run. I mean how many other ways do you spell bad luck?
This page has been book marked, pray to the Rugby gods that I dont have to say I told you so, not looking at anyone in particular, but Timbo, your smote has been noted buddy.

Has anyone told Gigs Poey is injured?

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!" - Rocky Balboa
No reason why the Force shouldn't win this one. I have tipped the Force, but not by 50,000 :-)
You do realise Bam's not in the tight five don't you Bronski?
I clearly said neither backrow would get very far scavenging ball...if we had Brown and Pocock, I would have said that without Lauaki, the Chiefs would struggle to get anything out of their own ruck....but I think the Tight five will press hard enough in the counter ruck to disrupt Chiefs ball. I think we have it all over them in the tight five and that's enough to let our serviceable, but not superstar backrow match their two AllBlacks and one fringe.
Hope you understand me clearly now.
BTW, what's wrong with a bit of Pro-Force optimism on a Force supporter's site?
C'mon the
otherwise we would be abused for being too pessimistic...
Mate, I am not knocking them, I am just calling it as I see it.
Although Brownie and Poey are not in the tight five they are invaluable assets at the breakdown. Poey in particular. At this stage of his game he is a poor mans Ritchie McCaw. Look what happened to the Crusaders when Ritchie was out...
You do know what a breakdown is?

BB, there is no question the Force are underdogs and that, on paper, they should get done. But for the first real time this year, the Force has managed to field a reasonably balanced team with both experience and youth in both the forwards and backs. With a splash of intelligence, composure and will they are at least a chance to crack this game at home, so you'll have to excuse folk if they are prepared to look on the hopeful side for their team.
If you want brutal reality, ask them their assessment of the other teams.
Force to win by 9 with a bonus point!
The Force's team spirit will be worth 5 on its own if you look at the first 2 matches we should have been pulverised and stood up fairly well.
May the FORCE be with you!
